How a Huntly Co camp works

No resort, no packages full of things you'd never use. Three simple parts.

01

You bring your horse and gear

Float in on Friday afternoon, unload, and set your horse up in a yard. Feed, buckets and riding gear come with you — you know your horse best.

02

We handle the trails, guiding and the food

Hugh and Geoff lead the mustering trip. Meanwhile the camp kitchen keeps running: hot breakfasts, packed lunches, roast dinners.

03

You sleep under the stars

Pitch your tent, roll out a swag, or park the caravan wherever suits. The fire gets lit at dusk and the kids run themselves tired while you sit down for the first time all week.

Meet your guides

Between them, Hugh and Geoff have more than 60 years on this land. They'll be the ones at your float when you pull in, and the ones putting the last log on the fire.

Hugh Hunter

Steady, patient and endlessly good-humoured. Hugh takes the nervous first-timers and the little ones, and has a knack for getting a wary kid to trust their pony by morning tea. He runs the unmounted horsemanship sessions too.

Geoff Hunter

Geoff knows every gate, gully and short cut on the place — he grew up riding it. He leads the cattle musters and will happily talk for hours about his beloved cows and life on the land.
